Olympic gold medal winner Adrian Moorhouse will be guest speaker at an event organised by the Bradford Achievement Forum on Friday.
The swimming champion, who grew up in Bingley and is a former pupil of Bradford Grammar School, will use his experiences as a world-beating swimmer to inspire the students, parents and adult role models who have successfully completed the young inspirers achievement programme.
Education Bradford started the programme in February to help young people at risk of underachieving to improve their grades and their life skills.
The project was connected to the inspirers project, which was set up by Javed Bashir, achievement forum co-ordinator for Education Bradford, more than two years ago.
A total of 150 role models from the community were chosen to work with these children to help motivate them.
The presentation evening tales place in the Horton Barn at the University of Bradford from 4pm when students, parents and adult role models who have finished the programme, excelled or made a difference will be presented with certificates and prizes.
